This doesn't mean that I support Jim Crow but it's not a fantasy when one side dominates the other.

don't you think those africans got some sort of a right to be angry?

otoh carrying an ak through the bushes for 15 years isn't exactly the necessary training for a public servant, is it? to me big mistakes were to be expected.

south africa's transition to public rule was a lot better than zimbabwe's but unfortunately there are only so many men of nelson mandela's standing and jacob zuma to this day can't properly read or write. it would have been the better choice if thabo mbeki stayed in office but it is not for us (pink guys) to chose who's president of south africa. it is for south africans and south africans recalled mbeki and made zuma president.

as to zimbabwe: i remember everybody thinking then that robert mugabe was the good guy and joshua nkomo the madman. apparently that was a mistake.

I think the whites left on their own accord. There was no one putting a gun to them leaving and Mandala was doing everything to belay white fears.

I think your rather wrong. It's best to talk to white South African immigrants. You might want to visit one of the few white South African farms left.

Spend some time in South Africa and see how it feels to be unarmed. Recently a large group of South African farmers immigrated to Russia. Russia may be a lot colder but it's a lot safer.

South Africa always had corruption so do all countries. It's just a matter of degree. It's better to live in a corrupt safe country vs a dangerous corrupt country.

If you watch the whole 10 min. it shows that their fears are overblown. I admit does it in passing like pointing farmer killings are lowest levels and that farms in the ruralist areas get attacked for their remoteness. The attackers believe farmers keep money on the property.

Yes, there are South Africans that want to redistribute some of the land owned by white farms. I want to point out they argue the white farmers came and took the land from their forbearers. The early white farmers did not pay the locals for the land but in many places, the white farmers point out no one lived in the areas they farm.

If the land gets redistributed to people who do not know how to farm that an injustice too. That is the problem, in a nutshell, you can only give land to people who know how to farm.

This is a good article about land in South Africa where The Glen Gray act robbed native South Africans of their lands.

The white population wants to believe they are victims. There is no evidence of mass whites being targeted but if they want to move to a land and give up freedoms for security as I paraphrase " They will achieve neither freedom or security."

Interesting take you have here. I agree.

The same applies in our country. Many urban areas prove this point.... & what many of us are trying to avoid, in our own areas.
