What's unusual about this is not just the supposed face but the geometry.

Starting from the western side and moving counterclockwise there is a straight line followed by a half-circle followed by another straight line (and despite the erosion and disruption of the surface appears to be roughly parallel with the line to the west) and closed with a crescent. Is that a natural formation?
